Music Production Lecturer

The role will be responsible for leading a cohort of (primarily music) students and successfully managing and supporting them to achieve their expected outcomes. You will provide vision and oversight to your respective programme of study. You will oversee and lead the student journey within their study programme, and work to ensure all learners have a consistent, engaging and successful experience.

 

The successful candidate will support with quality functions; such as walkthroughs and IV. You will plan and deliver effective, course progress sessions and you will individually support students to develop strong knowledge, skills and behaviours through a progressive and impactful one-to-one progress review schedule which meets the needs of all learners. You will effectively plan and deliver inspiring lessons, with a teaching caseload proportional to learner numbers within your area.

We’re looking for a number of musicians to join us as part of this new programme.

 

If you’re an early-career musician interested in developing your skills in creative, inclusive music-making and passionate about working with vulnerable young people - this could be the opportunity for you!

 

We will be recruiting trainees throughout the year, until January 2026 when the programme ends.

 

This is a supported, paid training opportunity which includes 40 hours of delivery alongside music leaders, 8 hours of mentoring and other training events.

Sinfonia Viva is seeking a new Chair of the Board of Trustees. The Chair of the Board of Trustees is a critical position within the organisation, supporting the strategic development of the charity to drive the organisation forward as a creative and musical force within the East Midlands.

​

Working closely with the Chief Executive and other Board members, this role ensures that collectively the organisation fulfils it’s governance, legal, charitable and financial duties and responsibilities, maintaining good practice in all areas. The Chair will also be an active advocate for the charity with potential partners, funders, and other networks throughout the region.

​

We are keen to hear from applicants from across the East Midlands to ensure the Board is representative of the geographic area we cover, but also from people who have a diverse range of lived experiences who can bring new perspectives and approaches to the organisation.

To support the smooth running of the Campus, working closely with the Facilities and Campus Managers to ensure that the buildings, facilities and services are provided and maintained to all company and legislative standards.

The Role 

  • Deliver fun and inspiring music lessons in a rock and pop band setting in up to 10 primary schools per week. 

  • Be a rock star role model, empowering and supporting children in primary schools to deliver live performances at termly concerts. 

  • Offer children their first opportunity to play an instrument to develop their confidence, resilience, and well-being through performing in a band. 

  • Be the face of Rocksteady, building strong relationships with schools, teachers, and parents. 

  • Highly active role; from loading and setting up band equipment multiple times a day to delivering lessons with energy and enthusiasm.
