Allegro Appassionato: Jacob Williams

Jacob Williams, now 15, returns to Allegro Appassionato as Lincolnshire Young Musician of the Year. We can expect a varied and exciting programme of his favourite piano and clarinet music accompanied by his dad, David.

Equinox Festival

Chalk Farm, Wyham, Louth

A gathering of all tribes. Performance, art, interaction and education for all. Set inside a hill, in the breathtaking Lincolnshire Wolds. Six stages representing all musical tastes, incredible lightshows, family area, fireshows and workshops. For the people not for profit.

Fire shows, workshops and heritage crafts, chill out areas, healing area, our central fire and of course our Children's Area featuring Gypsy Pyksy and Arcanic to keep the little ones entertained.

There'll be over a hundred bands and DJs again on our six stages, including our three banging dance tents - Sunrise, Lunar and Half Moon Hotel, with their crazy decor and stage shows to match, our solar powered Soundscape stage, Big Dub and the Crispy Disco stage - dedicated to Crispian Baker.

An Evening with Grace J

Dive into a night of enchanting jazz melodies as we proudly present “Jazz Spotlight: An Evening with Grace J”, at our Free Friday Jazz event. Join us to witness the remarkable talents of Grace Jackson, a 17-year-old prodigy whose passion for jazz has blossomed into a captivating musical journey.

 

Grace, performing under the artist name ‘Grace J,’ has charmed audiences since she was five and has grown into a seasoned performer and songwriter. Her original songs have graced the airwaves of BBC Radio Lincolnshire, and she’s taken the stage at notable local venues like Poppies and Damon’s, as well as starring in musicals at the Drill, including a standout performance as Fantine in “Les Misérables.”

Allegro Appassionato: Sleaford Guitar Ensemble

The ensemble play a wide range of instrumental music arranged for classical guitar by musical director Leon Edinboro, ranging from Spanish Folk songs to Tangos and Nursery Rhymes!

Calling all Dancing Queens, this is your night to say, Thank you for the Music! This international smash-hit tribute show brings all ABBA’s number one hits to the stage in a production like no other. The hugely popular show, now in its 21st year, with a brand-new show for 2025 combines the unmistakable harmonies, colourful costumes, and dazzling performances by our all-star cast.

Allegro Appassionato: Maurice Davies

We are always happy when Allegro Appassionato regular, Maurice Davies, makes another visit to us. The composer/pianist will be playing a selection of his 2020/22 lockdown pieces plus music by Tchaikovsky and Chopin.

Allegro Appassionato: David & Karen Beer

Conoco Room, Louth Library

Karen and David are both classically trained, Karen as an oboist and singer, David as a pianist. Together they perform in a range of styles to suit all tastes, from classical to film music. Both teach and work as musicians in Lincolnshire.

Tim Laphorn Latin Quintet

The Blue Room at The Lawn, Lincoln

The Tim Lapthorn Latin Quintet blends indigenous, European and African influences; from salsa and merengue to cumbia and bachata, Latin music continues to evolve and move audiences around the globe. Leading this new ensemble is gifted and expressive pianist Tim, one of the finest talents on the British jazz scene. His bluesy, lyrical sound sets him apart, with a unique style reflecting his deep passion for harmony.

Allegro Appassionato: John Conolly

John Conolly is an internationally-respected singer-songwriter whose compositions have been recorded by many well-known artists. His songs range from heart-rending to hilarious. “Fiddlers Green” and “The Trawling Trade” have a tang of the sea and a flavour of the East Coast of England.

Allegro Appassionato: Ian Maxwell

Conoco Room, Louth Library

Ian’s concert is built around the pleasure he takes from playing the guitar and will include imaginative interpretations of romantic guitar miniatures, a Bach sandwich and a flamenco enchantment. These will be performed on a C19th inspired guitar and on a classical/flamenco guitar.

Allegro Appassionato: Josh Wilkinson

Conoco Room, Louth Library

Josh appeared earlier this season as part of a piano duet with Jane O’Farrell. Today he gives us a solo recital. Josh’s performance draws on his Masters Degree in Chamber Music. When not performing Josh teaches, conducts and accompanies a variety of bands and choirs.
