Allegro Appassionato: The Devil's Elbow

Graeme and Ali Willis are a duo playing traditional and original English folk songs and tunes with an array of instruments including guitar, bouzouki, accordion, fiddle and tin whistle that will take you on a spellbinding journey through the folklore and history of our beautiful island.

Louth Choral Society: Mary, Sacred Rose - Music for Advent
St James's Church, Louth
World-premiere performance of 'The Canticle of Mary' written and composed by Alison Willis and performed by Louth Choral Society, Olivia Thomas (solo soprano) and organist Graham Eccles. The concert also includes 'Ceremony of Carols' by Benjamin Britten, accompanied by acclaimed harpist Eira Lynn Jones and a selection of other Advent themed music.

Family Concert: Roots of Music
Arnold Library, Nottingham
A vibrant journey through the rhythms, melodies, and traditions from around the world that have shaped the music we love today. This interactive concert will have you clapping, tapping, and maybe even dancing along as we discover how different cultures have influenced everything from pop and jazz to hip hop and classical music. After the concert, the fun continues with a hands-on session where children can try out a variety of instruments and make some music of their own. Come ready to listen, learn, and play – it’s going to be a musical adventure!

The Christmas Orchestra

The concert is performed live by a 16 piece chamber orchestra supported with full sound production and lighting show. Experience uplifting nostalgia with compositions from your favourite Christmas films, as well as popular sing-along classics to ignite your festive spirit.

Allegro Appassionato: Melody Flyte

Melody Flyte is a vintage and jazz singer performing across the East Midlands, with repertoire from the 1930s-70s. Her programme today is made up of Christmas Classics from the golden age of American Song, made famous by artists such as Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald.

Sharp Little Bones
The Blue Room at The Lawn, Lincoln
The house band of Nottingham's award-winning jazz venue Peggy's Skylight is joined by celebrated tenor saxophonist Tony Kofi to form a virtuosic quartet playing compositions from deep within and far beyond the jazz canon with a fresh, contemporary sound: an eclectic audio melting-pot of jazz, funk, blues, bop and electronica.
