You Are Invited to an Execution
South Holland Centre, Spalding
This is the story of Jonathan Wild, an eighteenth century thief-taker who had a double life as London's most prolific criminal. This brand new, specially commissioned play brings the tale of Jonathan Wild to life with a variety of storytelling techniques. As with many miscreants, Wild met with his grisly end at the hands of the law, but he would have wanted to go out with a bang, so in that spirit, You Are Invited To An Execution...
Contains staged violence, capital punishment and mature themes. Suitable for ages 12+

Vasilis Xenopoulos & Paul Edis Quartet
The Blue Room at the Lawn, Lincoln
Vasilis and Paul have played together over 20 years since they met after moving to London to study. Their latest recording with this band, Feels Like Home, is rooted in the jazz tradition, eclectic, groove-based and fundamentally melodic with elements of hard bop, latin-jazz, gospel, even folk and nods to Dexter Gordon, Stanley Turrentine, John Coltrane, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Bill Evans, Brad Mehldau and McCoy Tyner - honest music full of emotions.

Allegro Appassionato: Riverhead Ranters

Allegro Appassionato: The Devil's Elbow

Allegro Appassionato: Melody Flyte
Conoco Room, Louth Library
Melody Flyte is a vintage and jazz singer performing across the East Midlands, with repertoire from the 1930s-70s. Her programme today is made up of Christmas Classics from the golden age of American Song, made famous by artists such as Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald.

Sharp Little Bones
The Blue Room at The Lawn, Lincoln
The house band of Nottingham's award-winning jazz venue Peggy's Skylight is joined by celebrated tenor saxophonist Tony Kofi to form a virtuosic quartet playing compositions from deep within and far beyond the jazz canon with a fresh, contemporary sound: an eclectic audio melting-pot of jazz, funk, blues, bop and electronica. A well-crafted set will take listeners 'on a journey' through hard swingers, groove-led pieces, catchy post-bop, beautiful sax and brass-led melodies and atmospheric ballads.
