Getting to the Core of funding

We are delighted to share that SoundLincs has secured two significant new grants that will help strengthen our charity and support the continued growth of our music and creative health programmes across Lincolnshire.

The Garfield Weston Foundation has awarded SoundLincs £40,000 over two years (£20,000 per year) in unrestricted core funding. While project funding enables us to deliver specific programmes, core funding is much harder to secure and is essential for the long-term sustainability of the charity. This investment provides the flexibility to strengthen our organisation, support our dedicated team, invest in organisational development and ensure we can continue responding to the increasing demand for our services. As we continue to expand our work across mental health, social prescribing, criminal justice and children and young people's services, this support provides a vital foundation for future growth.

We are also incredibly grateful to the Alan Boswell Group Charitable Trust, who have awarded £7,000 to purchase new musical instruments and equipment. Our instruments are at the heart of almost every project we deliver and, with thousands of participants taking part in sessions each year, they experience significant wear and tear. This funding will allow us to replace ageing equipment, purchase new instruments and ensure participants of all ages and abilities continue to enjoy high-quality, accessible music-making experiences. The investment will support delivery across our growing portfolio of projects, including our new Children and Young People's Social Prescription Service and MusiCare programmes.

Both grants represent much more than a financial contribution. They are an endorsement of SoundLincs' work and the difference that music can make to people's lives. Their support will help ensure that many more people across Lincolnshire can access the life-changing benefits of music and creative health in the years ahead.
