These fun-packed music-making sessions are designed to involve 0-5 year olds, allowing them to actively engage in exploring a wide range of exciting instruments whilst singing familiar songs as well as learning new songs and fun musical activities!
First Notes provides group music making, singing and composition activities led by one of our lively and experienced Music Facilitators. It introduces core musical concepts such as pulse, rhythm, tempo, pitch and dynamics, through a structured residency of activities related to the Early Years Foundation Stage and optionally supported by our First Notes Resource Pack.
This type of residency lasts for 6 x 1 hour sessions, concluding in our popular Mini-Melt performance, showcasing the development and learning from the residency. Settings are using their Early Years Pupil Premium funding to develop bespoke residencies that best meet the children they have in their settings. Speak to Allison or Nicola if you would like more details or to book.
“The Facilitator was great with the children. They all looked forward to him coming each week. The last sharing session was a great success with very positive comments from parents” Early Years practitioner.
