October is upon us and with it brings these 3 great apps to entertain your youngsters as the nights draw in.

Xylophone, Glockenspiel and Marimba (Free, Android)

Perfect for: Ages 3+

What is it? Xylophone free is an app that allows children of all ages to play the five in built percussion instruments including a Xylophone, Toy Xylophone, Glockenspiel, Vibraphone and Marimba.

Why do we love it? We love this app because the recordings of the different instrument sounds are of a high quality and the app has an extremely easy to use interface and selections mode.

Baby Mozart – Children Music (Free iOS)

Perfect for: Ages 4+

What is it? The app provides baby friendly classical music for your baby’s brain development, soothing white noises to aid sleep, nursery rhymes to sing along to and educational flashcards to support learning and development.

Why do we love it? We love the variety of music and sounds, plus the easy to use setting of sounds, giving the user full control over sound duration and volume.

Fruit Punch – Kid’s Music (Free iOS) (In app purchases)

Perfect for: Ages 4+ 

What is it? Fruit Punch Music is a child friendly music streaming app. The app includes multiple themed stations with child friendly names, for example “Popcorn and Candy”, for movie soundtracks. Plus Top 40 stations filtered for age appropriate songs.

Why do we love it?  We love this app because it contains a variety of stations, allowing children the freedom to choose their own music, with the peace of mind that all the songs within the playlists are age appropriate. You can also set time limits on app usage and filter stations further.
