Early Years professionals, teachers, parents, practitioners, child carers, children’s centre staff, local authority advisors, music leaders, community musicians, home educators
and all who work with Early Years children and have an interest in music are invited to East Midlands Early Years Conference, MUSIC IN THE FRAMEworks!
Delegates will have an opportunity to explore how to deliver music through all areas of learning and development as part of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework with prominent National Early Years Music Educators, Sue Nicholls, Linda Bance, Hilary Miles and Dr Pat Beckley.
Taking place at the Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust building in Northampton on 7 November 2013 from 9am – 5pm, a range of notable seminars will be presented covering all aspects of music making with 0-5 year olds, including using music for both learning and play, child development, and how ICT can be introduced in Early Years’ settings.
“Music is a fantastic tool for helping children’s development and learning” says soundLINCS CEO Nikki-Kate Heyes MBE. “We are very excited to be delivering this jam-packed programme of workshops for delegates to broaden their musical offer to children so that it can become a natural part of each day.”
The Conference is made possible in part through funding by Youth Music and the Music Education Hubs. Tickets are heavily subsidised, and as a special Early Bird offer, there are 20 free tickets available on a first come first served basis. Remaining tickets for Music in the Frameworks are £55 for a full day ticket (including lunch and post-conference notes) with limited half day and student tickets available at £35
