This Sunday (October 1st) from 3pm – 5pm at The Terry O’Toole Theatre in North Hykeham, soundLINCS are delighted to be hosting a Silver Sunday Celebration Event, as part of the United Nations’ Older People’s Day and our Arts Council England funded New Tricks project for Older Adults across Lincolnshire.
The free event will bring together over half a dozen groups formed during the first year of the project, stretching from Mablethorpe to Spalding and from Folk groups to Indian hand drumming, as well as special performances from partner groups such as Lincoln Beevor Band and our Nettleham and Grantham Orchestras.
As well as performances the event will include interviews with members of the group and the Music Facilitators who run them, sharing some of the great stories, progression and developments they have gone through during the New Tricks project and their ambitions for growing it moving forwards.
Over 100 soundLINCS staff, group members, friends and family are expected to attend the event and the day should prove to be a fitting celebration of the project!
